• The course provides theoretical and practical training in elevator and escalator engineering for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the industry. This includes installation, modernization, maintenance, major repairs, inspections, and related safety knowledge.

• KONE Elevator (HK) Ltd may continue to employ graduates for workplace training in various departments. After accumulating specific work experience, they can apply to become Registered Lift/ Escalator Worker.

• Graduates may continue to study diploma courses or related courses at Qualifications Framework Level 3.

• The course is recognized by the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Qualifications Framework and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, meeting the educational requirements for applying to become registered elevator or escalator engineers. With workplace training experience in elevators/escalators, graduates can apply to become Registered Lift/ Escalator Worker.

• Most units of the course are taught and assessed in Chinese.
• Students are required to undergo workplace training at various locations and departments.
